A rarely seen 16th Century Spanish sword breaker dagger.
These daggers are super rare when found in a fine state of preservation like this example, with most examples now in museum collections.
This particular sword has all original parts and a little play in the grip and pommel.
This particular dagger is a very rare variation with an unusual tip.
The hilt is comprised of a set of curved quillons which have stars engraved on the tips.
The quillons also curve up to help with parrying.
The wire grip is still intact and it is fitted with a spade-shaped pommel.
The blade is very interesting being quite thick and having teeth with a little edge. The tip of the dagger is quite special which is still very sharp.
